Pride, my source of providence

Conflated sense of confidence

Pride, my source of providence

Mind’s on centered on me

Self serving outlook

I’m here to get what’s good for me

Smooth talkin’

Even kinda smooth walkin’

I spit sweetness and smile sunrays

But behind these bright eyes, lies

A greedy mess

Here to get mine and leave behind the rest

Though I’ll leave you thinking you got my best

I save that for only me

The queen

The dream

The one you want to be

Yes, that’s me

But on my own I falter

Without direction from the Father

My throne is small and dissipates

Human hands built it up from human clay

All fun and play until

I’ve stumbled from my place

Looked within and found disgrace

Nothing worth preserving

What I’ve gathered for myself is fleeting self-worth

Like side-walk-chalk washed away with the rain

Tips for moving abroad #28

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.” (John, NIV)

In the beginning there was no shortage of blogs, but she started one. She wrote, and she didn’t know quite why. But further along, we might understand why.
